We love to learn new things at XOXO, so we treat ourselves to workshops to find out about new techniques and tricks from other experts in the field. Last spring we helped in a natural clay straw-bale building project, applying mud right from the ground onto the walls of a house being built in Maryland.
It was so exciting to see the process, and imagine the natural home being lived in and enjoyed with the peace of mind of having made environmentally friendly choices in building materials. Natural clay not only regulates humidity and heat in the home, but it also absorbs toxins and free radicals, and releases oxygen into the inside air!
We use a natural clay plaster that also has these properties, and is tinted with natural earth pigments, but can be applied on normal drywall, no matter what finish is already on it! Ask us about it!
